The primary focus of this study is to assess the toxicity chemical corexit 9527 28 day old fresh water tilapia guineensis fingerlings. fingerlings was studied in static renewal bioassay glass tank, using tap water. collected from Ikpoba HillRiver, Edo State used access lethal concentrations dispersant 9527. Differential sensitivity test organisms observed.This achieved by predictive application. LC50 actually as an estimate incipient level which also called threshold concentration, asymptotic or tolerant limit. concentration at half population will die indefinite period time. It estimated that timefor no further has been observed. This steady state theincipient level. In fish tests, often occurs within 4 days, and one rationale behind 96-hour length for a standard acute test.The median on determinedusing computerized probit analysis according methods finney. were 409.71mg/l 367.20mg/lfor 3 days respectively.The showed high tolerance lower highest recorded 100% mortality even 24-hour exposure period.
